The Ruddy Good Loyalty Card, launched at the start of this month, seems to be getting the thumbs-up from Ruddington village shoppers and traders so far.
The FREE new card, which offers monthly #RUDDYGOODOFFERS at dozens of our village centre outlets, was the idea of the Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP). It is seen as a great way of encouraging residents and workers to spend their time and money here rather than elsewhere – in addition to attracting regular visitors to use our businesses by showcasing what they have to offer.
There are currently discounts and deals for drinkers and diners at our pubs, restaurants and cafés – like the daily “happy hour” in The Old Bakehouse Tearoom – and special offers in our shops. Traders reporting a welcome increase in trade so far include Ruddington Village Butchers – saved from closure only a few months ago – David Richards Jewellers and ARC Plumbing and Heating. Even businesses like Ruddington’s National Car Finder on Kempson Street have got involved – giving double the usual warranty to card holders.
Resident Donna Morley commented: “Great idea! We always try to shop locally. I have to say the meat from the butcher’s has been brilliant. We are very lucky to have the shops in the village.” Dawn Ellingham joked: “I just need a couple more sons to utilise the Martin’s Barber’s discount!” Luckily for Dawn, many of these offers are set to change in November – so please keep checking back for NEW deals and discounts!
The launch of the Loyalty Scheme and most of its initial promotion have been funded by Ruddington Parish Council using bespoke designs by village based Wig Wag Creative. The scheme soon will be promoted further afield by Ruddington’s main bus operator, Nottingham City Transport. It’s supporting our village initiative by working with RUDDINGTON.info to include all the initial loyalty scheme businesses in its new, pocket-sized 2018/19 ‘Ruddy Good Day Out’ guide booklet – which is due out next month.
You can see all 28 participating traders and their deals >>HERE<<. The same page can be reached whilst out and about by simply scanning the QR Code on the back of your Loyalty Card.
It’s now even easier to spot those involved since the dedicated window stickers {above} have recently arrived. And ALL traders now have the Loyalty Cards to hand out to customers who’d like to have one.
If you’re a Ruddington based business who’s not yet joined the Loyalty Scheme, but wish to do so, please contact RVCP via RuddVillageCP@outlook.com. To find out more, you can also attend their next Retailers’ Meeting in St Peter’s Rooms next Tuesday, 30th October, at 6.30pm.
